The Cevipof in Figures

  • 27 permanent researchers.
  • 20 associate researchers.
  • 5 visiting researchers (approx.) per year.
  • A support team of 10 people.
  • More than 60 PhD candidates.
  • Over 600 articles, 250 of which were published in peer-reviewed journals (2004-2010).
  • Around 100 books and 430 book chapters published (2004-2010).
  • Over 70 edited works or special issues coordinated by Cevipof researchers (2004-2010).
  • More than one fifth of books and chapters produced was written in a language other than French or translated.
  • Over 170 conference invitations, throughout the world, roughly 50% of which are in Europe and 25% in North America.
  • Participation in more than 25 research networks around the world.
  • Since 1999, Cevipof researchers have been  invited to over 50 universities internationally, frequently for periods of over two months
  • One third of contract proposals submitted to the EU via the FP have been accepted.
  • Over 200 papers given in colloquia, conferences seminars, etc.
  • Roughly 60 research contracts.
  • Cevipof researchers are regularly appointed as experts or consultants on numerous political and social questions in France.
  • They have participated in the organisation of around 100 colloquia in France and abroad.
  • They are members of reading and editorial committees for a variety of academic journals both in France and abroad.

 

 

The Steering Committee and Management board

The mission of the the Steering Committee and Management Board is to participate in the development of the Centre’s academic policy.

It is composed of:

  • Two members (representing the FNSP and the CNRS):

- Professor  Pascal PERRINEAU, Director of the CEVIPOF

  • Six members appointed by the director:

- Christophe BARBIER, Editor of the Express newspaper.

- Professor Jean BAUDOUIN, professor of Political Science at the Université de Rennes 1.

- Professor Jean Paul FITOUSSI, President of the OFCE, academic head of the doctoral programme entitled "Economic Governance".

- Professor Andrew KNAPP, Director of European Studies, University of Reading,.

- Professor Joan MARCET, Director of the ICPS, (Institute of Political and Social Sciences),Universidad Autonomia de Barcelona,.

- A representative of Phd candidates registered at the Cevipof.

  • Ten Members elected from within the Centre:

- Daniel BOY, Bruno CAUTRES, Flora CHANVRIL, Manlio CINALLI, Alexandre ESCUDIER, Christine GIRE, Lucien JAUME, Luc ROUBAN, Mariette SINEAU, Thierry VEDEL.
