The Cevipof’s Documentation Centre, which is located on the ground floor at 98, Rue de l’Université, provides a series of useful services to researchers. It also serves as an intermediary between the Cevipof and Sciences Po.

It provides a showcase for work carried out at the Centre, allowing users to consult the following:

• Documentation

Individual and collective works, articles, reports and data bases written and developed by the Centre’s researchers, books, refereed  periodicals and collections published by the Centre (Cahiers du CEVIPOF, Chroniques électorales, Autrement/CEVIPOF). The works and reports produced are all included in Sciences Po’s library catalogue.

• French Election Archives

The archives form a unique collection on the campaigns and results, classified by election and largely made up of tracts, press articles and candidate declarations.

The inventoried electoral archives from 1936 to 2010, retrace seven decades of elections from the communal to the European level.

• Electoral Tract Archives

These tracts cover themes relative to French political and social life since 1951 and are classified by year, by author and by subject.

• Election Results

This section covers presidential, legislative, municipal, regional and European elections held in France since 1956. The material has been gathered from various sources.

• Surveys

This section covers surveys produced by survey institutes since the 1950s on political and social life in France. These archives contain over 20,000 references, providing access to the results of the quantitative surveys inventoried in different documents (press cuttings, articles, books, reports supplied by opinion poll agencies, electronic documents). They are indexed according to the questions asked, sorted into 556 categories.
